My apologies - I'm not meaning to single you out. I'm new to these forums but I'm surprised to see how much people are asking for used equipment.

No you aren't missing anything, however, it is generally certain items that the used asking price isn't much different than a new one. These items are usually the ones that are always sold out online, like MP10's and MP40's. When they post they get bought up fast on here.
