Hello All

I just did a thorough cleaning of my MP40. Now that I've put it back in my tank the wet side is making a constant rattling noise. I've moved the wet side around to see if I can get it aligned but can't seem to find the sweet spot.

Any tricks to getting these re-aligned?

Thanks
Andrew :)

It takes a few days to quiet them down when they are older

Mine has done this also. Slight alignment adjustments seem to make it go away.

Just took some time. Now that the water level is back to where it usually is, the rattle in gone.

Thanks

Reviving this thread because my MP10WQD is also rattling. Is the only cause slight misalignment? I’ve tried minor alignment adjustments and it doesn’t eliminate the rattle. I’ve disassembled and cleaned with no benefit. Decreasing the flow reduces the rattle but it doesn’t stop. I want greater flow from the pump but not at the expense of louder rattling.

I had one do that. Mine turned out the ceramic rod was broken from the base.

I would call customer service. They were great helping me by shipping a new wet side out to me first and then I shipped the damaged one back. My two MP40s have been running for nonstop for seven years straight and only had an issue with the one wet side. Expensive but worth every penny. IMO

The ceramic sleeve bearing often breaks and leads to the rattle. Last I checked you have to buy a whole new wet side when this happens.
