I am looking to sell two of these pumps. They are both cleaned using muriatic acid and ready to go. They were used off and on for 2 years, both still working perfectly. Looking to get $1100 CDN for the pair shipped (~$780 USD). Come with original thin, medium, thick spacers and metal mounting brackets. Thank you for looking. Pictures attached show proof of item.

Hey, seems this forum supports the use of PayPal only so no longer for sale. Not getting one of those “he sent me a box of rocks” scams

Mods please close. Won’t be selling through this forum due to PayPal being in favour of the buyer. If the buyer wants to screw the seller over the ball is completely in their court. I personally don’t feel comfortable with that as this involves my property. Thanks

Or mark this as local pick up only. I can deliver anywhere within 2 hours of Toronto. Local pick up $850 CDN :)) Thanks

Over the past year, I've only been a buyer here, not a seller, so I can only speak from one side of the fence. But, in that time, I've seen threads fot at least a half of a dozen "buyers" get burned on sales, and I might have missed them, but no threads on buyers being had. Again my experience is limited across forums, as I mainly surf this one, but this general group of people amaze me of the overall kindness and honesty. There are always exceptions to any rule, but it is a huge relief to me to see(read) the politeness, helpfulness, and overall decency on this forum, when being keyboard warriors is so rampant on the internet. I have purchased many live and dry goods from people here and have had nothing but the best experiences. It takes a lot of trust from both parties to make it work. Especially with something like PayPal. My wife has been burned with her business having to use PayPal, so I understand your frustration with that. Bottom line, there needs to be trust. By you, and from you. That's for all of us who wish to buy and sell. There's no place in society for anyone to want to resort to scamming anybody. I work hard for my money, just like most of us. Nothing worse than dealing with someone trying to take a shortcut off someone else's back.
With all of that being said, good luck with the sale. If I still had my big tank setup, I'd be interested. If you would trust me, that is ! Lol.

it’s the same trust involved in doing an etransfer or western union with the only difference being that the seller is in control of the deal and not a third party company that’s in favour of the buyer. Canadians all use etransfer. I rarely see PayPal unless you are dealing with a company.

I have been a member on forums and have been buying and selling on kijiji (our craigslist) for a very long time. Not once have I been scammed by a seller not shipping what I bought. I have been scammed by buyers though claiming something that’s incorrect. Trying to swap my good parts for one they had thats broken, claiming it’s broken and demanding refund without return, claiming it got stolen from their front door, or that I sent the wrong thing. That’s why if I’m selling my property, something I worked to buy, I want the ball in my court when I sell it. I know what I’m selling, I know who I am as a person. What I don’t know is who I’m selling to. I see to many cases where buyers are trying to pull fast ones. I can live with you not buying my pump thinking it’s a scam. I can’t live with you scamming me for both my property and my money. That’s why I want control of the deal.
