I didn't like the idea of my MP40 driver so close to my tank so I made some extension cables to lengthen the dry-side cord. This allowed me the ability to locate the driver farther away from my DT and eliminate the possibility of accidental water damage. Since then I have installed some conduit between the walls and now I no longer need these cords.
These cords are plug and play, meaning that you do not need to cut or alter your current cords to make them work. Simply remove (pull off) the control knob, remove the 3 screw from the back of the driver housing, separate the 2 halves of the housing, lift the board from the housing, disconnect the dryside cord from the board, plug the new cord (male end) into the board and plug the 2 remaining cord ends together. Then mate the driver housing back together, re-install the 3 screws and press the knob back on. And now your MP pump cord is 12" long instead of 8'. That's all that is to it.
I have 2 of these cords, both are 4' in length and I am looking to get $38 each or $72 for both (price firm and includes shipping).
