How do you get wholesale or how much is wholesale? I would like to get 3 radion...LOL

I got my radion from a lfs friend as well... Apparently he told me he could lose his ecotech dealers license if he sold it for under the advertised price that ecotech has them for which is $749.99 or even disclosed how much the manufacturers sold it to him for! Let's just say, mine with the $50 hanging kit and battery backup unit was less then if I was to go buy just the radion led unit myself at my lfs. I may order more and just sell them locally to "friends" & "family" if u know what I mean!!

yes the same goes for him as well, but because i do some marketing for him, he said "demo" units are not a problem haha. But the fact of the matter is that i would rather not spend that much and pick up a used one with little hours on it for way cheaper.

For what it's worth... A lot of guys that get the radions, 1. Loves it and have money to spare, so they really don't want to sell it and...
2. Doesn't get the "demo" deals that we do, they buy it at retail, so even if they sell it they want top dollar for it!
On that note, I've seen used ones, ie 2-5month used, going for $650-700! IMHO even if I didn't have the demo deal from my friend, I would much rather get it for retail at 750 then pay 700 for a 5month old unit! But that's just me! I think the best bet is, if u have the "marketing" power, a local bulk buy for groups of 10 units or more, u could get it at even lower prices! Or if you bought 10 units directly from the manufacturer; sell the ones u don't need locally at below retail and potentially get ur unit for free!

My understanding the demos are not to be sold, they have a "serial numbers" on all of those units. So if there is a problem and the new owner needs to get it service or any warranty work, your friend or that LFS will loose his retailing for Ecotech. Becareful, that Ecotech don't find out that your friend are selling his demo.

As mentioned... The ones I bought from him was meant for retail resale, not demos... However, I got it at his cost because he doesn't want to make a buck out of me for helping from time to time! Warranties and everything is registered!

The demo was a joke. He has retail units that he personally will use as "demo" units. I just have to give him reviews and pictures and such that he can use them to further market and sell them. And yes I agree new is better but if they really are guaranteed for years then whats the difference? I believe I am gonna go with the radion just because my tank is 30" and a single ai will not have the light spread i want or need. i thought about doing a group buy but i havent really seen the interest in it. If there are 10+ people that want to do then by all means I would love to.
