I made some brackets for them, its a whole mounting system to sit on the edge of the tank I painted them black afterwards but here is a few pix on what I can up with
Nice DIY...Two thumbs up...
Do you like them more than Evolution Lights?
Can you toss us some tank pics and a PAR reading.

Bill, I didnt even turn them on, just built brackets to hang them for a customer. I dont have enough time in the day to program lights and fart with all the colors, I'm more of a plug it in and watch the corals grow kinda guy.

Got the units. Downloading the software via a friends laptop (more on this below). Now trying to figure out how I want to mount them in the canopy. I did power them up earlier today at the shop and they are definitely bright. When I held them over a tank it appeared that the ecotechs had a better spread of light. I'll know for sure when they are mounted.
The software for the units is currently in Windows format only. I own Macs and do not have windows installed on the, therefore I had to borrow a laptop with windows.

Lights are mounted and over tank. I am now programming them. These two units are roughly 4-5" above the water level and there is zero spotlighting, they provide excellent coverage. They definitely appear brighter just by eyeing the tank. Another thing to note is I never had my AI's set higher than 40w, 55b, 55rb. But the spread on the ecotechs is definitely better. (Not an issue if you hang the AI's 12" or higher.)

Turned it down to 65 perc. max power during peak and will see how it goes. The nikon is charging. I'll get some pics in the morning.
I am liking what the red and green LEDs do to my mille's. Definitely enhances my pink millepora, as well as, all other red/orange toned chalices and acros.

Thanks for taking the time to program the light and working with the colours. This is helpful.
We've been doing a lot of research on pigments and it seems that the Red and Green, although not being enough for photosynthesis, may cause individual pigments to colour up. Will post the results on our site after we have a solid opinion on what's best.

Heres some pics. Ignore the swirls on the glass, I need to clean it. Lights just came on and are set at 20% power at a 20k spectrum. I'll take some more pictures later when they come on with more white and more intensity.

Update:
Light Cycle
Lights come on at 9am at 20percent power (blues and royal blues only)
At 11am lights increase to 35 percent power 20k (similar to Radium 20k halides)
At 2pm lights increase to 65 percent power 20k but with added red to accent the pinks in the tank
At 6pm lights decrease back to 35 percent power 20k
At 8pm lights decrease to 20 percent 20k
At 9pm lights change to blue and royal blue
At 9:30pm lights off
So far haven't lost any color and corals are opening fully. Many corals appear to be brighter in comparison to previous lighting. I like the fact that my MP40 modes change as the lights change. Pics of corals can be seen in my FS thread here:

How is the coverage in person on your tank? I asked Ecotech what their recommendation would be for my 48x30x24 tank and they said two, which surprised me. Could I really get away with only two?

Yes, all corals are looking good and the lights can be turned up plenty more. I have a purple bonsai acro in the sand bed and its happy.

Thanks! However I saw. Some par readings of the unit, it was not as strong as I though. If I remember correctly is was about 200 half way in the tank. Think it was a 24" deep tank. Anyone have any input on the par of this unit?
