Ecotech Vectra L1 Info/Issues?

I purchased a Ecotech Vectra L1 in January of 2016 but I have never used it. Long story short, I retired from the military and moved back home to help extended family. Now that I am finally getting ready to build a system that requires a pump this size I have read a few comments concerning the failure of first-run Ecotech Vectra pumps. Should I be concerned? What were the actual issues? Was there ever a recall on them? Thanks in advance.

I've been using one for a little over a year without issue. I don't believe there was ever a recall though. I would go ahead and use it since you have it. At least in my case, it's dead silent and runs well.

I loved how silent my L1 was, but I did have 2 failures, which ETM replaced.
Since then I have read about the L1 having some changes to correct a heat problem.
I've seen people talk about having no problems, so it's up to you.
When it works, it's a awesome pump.

It appears the impeller was modified on the new units; and maybe other changes as well.
