Ecotech Vectra L2

So I've just bought one of these and I'm hard plumbing it. But I'm confused, forgive me if im being special but on the specs for the pump it says 38mm in and 32mm out. But that's just not true? It's 50mm / 2" in and 40mm / 1.5" out lol? No?

But it's not true though I've just glued 50mm pipe into the quick connector thing? Haha and the outlet takes a 40mm pipe to hard plumb

Okay figured it out their numbers are the internal hole sizes on the pump not the union collar pipe fitting. Talk about misleading! Why on earth aren't they puting the pipe size their fitting takes. That's ridiculous
