About to order a vectra m1 and thought I'd go fishing for some feedback from folks that have been using these pumps for a while.

Reliability? Power source issues? Flow issues? Customer support? Anything else I'm not thinking of right now?

Really just want to know if this is gonna be worth my investment. I have 2 mp10s and love them both which is why I'm taking a hard look at this return pump.

TIA
Ryan

I run the M1. It has been a great little pump. I use it as a return, so I can only speak to its function in that way, but it is hands down the quietest pump I have seen to date. I upgraded to a NYOS Skimmer from a Reef Octopus, which made my Ehiem return the loudest thing on my tank. I switched it out for the M1, and the tank is so quiet that I cant hear anything unless I open the doors to my stand.

I only run mine at about 60% in the return mode, and it runs perfect. I like the fact that you calibrate it for your tank, and then you can adust the flow with a turn of the controller. I havent had any issues with flow, or customer support. The M1 has never givien me an issue, but one of my MP40QDs started to overheat, and Ecotech replaced it with very little hassle.

When I do my next tank upgrade I am considering running it as a closed loop, but for now it functions great as a return pump.

I think its worth the investment, but thats just my .02 cents.

Thank you for the reply. This is much the same response i have gotten from other people as well.

I read the reviews on BRS and it made me question my decision a little but i also know that people are more likely to leave a negative review than a positive one so i wanted more balanced feedback.

Thanks again!

I second the review. Awesome pump! I love the feed mode calibrated to my tank. Runs my manifold for my UV sterilizer, Algae scrubber, GFO reactor as well. I run it at 95% and it is extremely quiet. I also have a NYOS and 2 MP10s.
