Primarily due to noise, I am planning on replacing my Pan American NH-50PX-X pumps. I'm also running 79 to 80 in a 72 degree house and am concerned what warmer temps in my house during the summer will do to tank temp.

I read some reviews and 1 stated the pump on his system raised the temp 3 degrees.

I am running 2 Kessil AP700s in an enclosed canopy, and will be installing an exhaust fan this weekend.

Leading candidates are Ecotech Vectra M1 (2 for redundancy due to my travel schedule) or Sicce silent series. The NH-50's are choked down through a ball valve to control flow which doesn't seem to be very efficient to me so adjustability is a must. Recommendations?

I purchased the m1 for my setup looks very sleek and I've heard nothing but great reviews

I couldn't tell you I'm still in the process of setting my tank up.

Thanks. Good luck and post pics

Anyone using the Sicce silent series for a return pump?

I absolutely love my Vectra pumps. I have a L1 used on my closed loop and a M1 for my return pump.
Very quiet, no increase in tank temp, maybe a degree less.
Internal or external, tough to beat, IMO.

One of the things I look forward to is being able to control the pump speed. I have twin return pumps on a 240 that are throttled to 40-50% through a ball valve. Each are rated 1100 Gph. The M1s should be a good fit.

One thing that EcoTech fails to mention up front is that you will probably need to get the optional fitting kit they sell for the Vectras.
I used the blue collar and 1" pvc pipe for the suction side, but used the BST fitting they sell for the return side.
Using the blue collar on the return sides narrows down the opening to 3/4".
The threads on the pump are not standard threads. They are British Standard Threads.
I searched and asked over a couple different forums and facebook groups and could not find a cheaper alternative to the EcoTech fittings.

I was going to go with the m1 as my return pump but apparently doesn't work with Apex, so I'm probably going to go with the waveline.

Is the waveline and the Jaebod pump manufactured by the same company?

There is no integration between the 2 now.

But the M1 has it's own controller.

Having said that it's a separate issue that has been beaten to death else where. lol
