I've just recently purchased a Vectra M2, the documentation on the box and online state this has a 25mm output, however the one I have been shipped has a union coupling with an internal diameter of approx 34mm - am I missing something obvious or has the wrong coupling been provided?

My vectra m2 fits a one inch pvc perfectly. Was the unit new when purchased? My thought would be someone changed the size.

Yeah, it was brand new unopened, just speaking to supplier now...very odd

Hmm that’s odd I would contact them like you are and go from there.

ah maybe they have changed it but I got an old box, website still showing its 25mm Vectra - M1 & L1 Return Pump (ecotechmarine.com)

The supplier is sending me a reducer bush
Glad you brought this up. I assumed the one I just picked up would be 1". So I guess I'll be looking for that bushing too.
Pretty sure I'll find it at Lowes or Home Depot. ( heck I might even have one in one of the boxes of fittings I've accumulated over the years. )

He’s in UK. Only in America are things like “inches” used, and even then, the plumbing measurements are actually names, not measurements. 1.5” plumbing, for example, isn’t actually 1.5 inches. That’s just the name for that particular size, which varies depending on the schedule (pipe thickness). US plumbing only works in the US, meanwhile the other ~159 countries don’t use it. The vast majority of EcoTech’s customers must be in America for them to have built a pump with American sized fittings.

All of the vectras I own came with inch size fittings and I had to mess about with bits and pieces to make them fit my metric pipework. I’m in Scotland.
