I'm thinking about getting 4 of the m1's to run on this 320 and running them on the closed loop mode, wondering if I can get away with just running those and no circulartion pumps, what do you think about that?have you used yours on the closed loop mode?

You could probably use 2 for a Closed Loop setup. My setup is a simple 34 gallon cube. I have run it in several of the modes but it does strange things as a return.

I bought the Vectra L1 last week and it just came in the mail on Saturday.
I'm replacing a Reeflo Dart/Snapper on my closed loop.

Can't wait to get it hooked up. I'm counting on it to be much quieter.

I just installed new Tideline sump and new M1 pump a few weeks ago. I love it. can't say enough about it. Quiet...very quiet...super quiet. I run it at constant level which keeps the same water level in the sump. Otherwise, there are problems with skimmer overflowing and ATO.

Just added the Vectra. So far so good! The pump is almost silent.

Following along on closed loop usage. Been debating one for that purpose. Will be interested to hear how those using it like it for CL application.

I run one on my aquareef 195 system, it's used to power my return, my gfo reactor and my chiller.

I have it turned down to about 40% otherwise it's too much.

I'm assuming you don't run it plumbed as a return in closed loop mode?

I have the M1 also and love it. Extremely quiet and doesn't add any heat at all to the system. Have not used it in the closed loop mode though.

I am running the L1 in a closed loop. This thing moves water! It is also super quiet.

It does add some heat to the system, surprisingly, especially at the higher speeds. It also stinks to have to buy the reeflink so I can fully program it. ( I am aware I can use the controller but it's a huge pain.)

Are those brass valves inline with the return plumbing?

Have you run it in close loop reef mode?
