I don't believe the Vectra has a run dry prevention built into it. The only DC pump I'm aware that has this feature is the RO Varios line which uses an external float switch plugged into the controller. This is however something that if you have an Apex or other controller you could build in using sensors and plugging your pump into a controlled outlet.
You can also purchase one of these and plug your pump into it directly then into a regular house outlet if you like having your pump separate from a controller power bar..
