Ecotech Versa problem

Hello
I use a versa since 4 months on my Calcium reactor. The last weeks the pump get louder and louder.
Today i open the pump and saw that the tube is very hard and have a red colour. Have anyone the same problem???

Looks like coraline algae maybe? Was the pump close to a light source?

No there is no light in the sump. But this was also my first idea. The tube is so hard that you can not squezze it.

Time to change the tubing. How old is the tubing?
