Ecotech versa replacement tube

Hi everyone! I’m new to using a dosing pump so this may be a dumb question. I’m replacing the inner tubing on the versa dosing pump and the replacement kit came with this clear circular ring. Does this go in the doser? If if does, do you put it in before the tube or on top of it? I can’t find anything about it on Ecotechs support page or in other threads online.

I think on top is the right answer. I’m going to try it out and see if it holds it’s prime.
