I just installed my Versa for the purpose of dosing saturated Kalk. Is there an easy way to have the pump dose every hr or half hour instead of doing the continuous dosing? I was hoping to avoid adding 24 or 48 separate time points in on the app. There has to be a more intuitive way to do this without going continuous right? My starting goal is 40mL/day.

I asked about this very thing multiple times in the last year, Ecotech never replied to me other than their automated tech support email. I gave up.

To answer your question, no, there is no other way.

Thanks! Well I gave up and entered in 24 timepoints. They really need some templates.

I ran into another issue and maybe need to start another thread. The "home" feature means that fluid gets sucked back up the line after every dose. This means that the next dose has to push back down the line resulting in less getting dosed. Since I'm only dosing 0.6mL every hour I bet only half or less is actually getting dosed. There has to be a way to turn this off right?

You can't do it with GHL either, such a simple thing that you would think any manufacturer would be able to think about when programming these things.

Right? It truthfully makes no sense.

I guess one way you could do it is with an Apex, put it on constant and just turn off the Versa. Not sure if that would work though..

Sure you can. You just use the auto dose feature on GHL, which lets you program the dose (down to 0.1 mL per dose) and how many doses you'd like spread out per day (up to 150). It is indeed simple, and it's a feature on the GHL doser. If you'd like to dose every 30 minutes then you dose 48 times a day. It's that simple.

I'm trying to do the same thing.

Did you ever figure out an easier way to add a lot of dosing points without having to do it manually?

It's really tedious to add so many, one at a time.

Are you really only dosing 40ml of Kalk per day? Doesn't seem like much.... I'm dosing 4k ml over the course of 12 hours at night.

I ended up doing 24 points, one each hour. It's annoying to enter but once it's done it's easy to manipulate.

I started off at that level of kalk but ramped up. I moved and setup my tank again and now I'm only at about 100mL lol...not much but I need more coral to ramp it up.
