Anyone have this setup and have had issues with the pump just stopping? I am in the process tuning the flow but for whatever reason the pump just stops. Only way to get it working again is to delete all schedules and create them manually again. When it stops I can manually dose with it without issues. I have no daily limits set and 3 different flow rates throughout the day. Called tech support to ask if they could validate if something with my schedule was wrong but was told no. I needed to open a bug request and someone would get back to me to validate my schedule. So far I am very dissatisfied with the support. He spent 10 minutes going in circles on why he could not assist me when it would only have taken 2 minutes to answer my schedule question.

Finally heard back from Ecotech support today saying the case was closed and issue resolved... This pump is connected to a Calcium reactor and can crash my system if it stops. I guess this is normal behavior for the pump to just stop running and not a defect. Am I required to perform proactive daily resets and calibrations so the pump does not stop? what a joke......

Thank you for following up with that information. If the issue persists, and the pump stops during your set schedule please follow the steps below to reset your Versa pump and perform a calibration with a premeasured volume of water.

Versa Single Head:

1. Locate the reset port adjacent to the power cable port
2. Using your reset instrument depress the reset button until the indicator LED begins flashing red
3. Release the reset button and allow several seconds for the reset to complete

Thanks again,

I’m sure they ran you through the troubleshooting guide to check to see if your pump had all verifiable settings CHECKED.
Try removing the pump entirely from Möbius, then add it again. Set your schedule to see if this solved your problem.

having this issue on a 1 year old pump, I can hear it trying to turn but it will not rotate if I assist it with my fingers it will make a few revolutions before stopping again, I guess I will try these steps.. thank you!

it is a bit of a shame for how expensive this dosing pump is...

Mine is doing something similar too. One or both will stop at some point. It’s setup for continuous water changes. Do you think there is a minimum dosing amount? Maybe they are running too slow. I’m about out of ideas with mine.

I've had this happen to me. Usually, it is accompanied by an "Accelerator error", but not always. Once you get that, it's time to RMA it. So far, it's happened to 3 of my Versas.

Never use the Versa for AWC. You've been warned. ;)

It’s the purpose of them. Also controlled by hydros plugs to shut them off if there is one that stops. I just need to figure it out. I have had no error messages.

I have two dosing about 5000ml of kalk but over about 12 hours not continuous and it's pretty slow, only one of my pumps is doing this (knock on wood:face-with-spiral-eyes:) so far.

I think they only dose 23hrs and 59min

I could be wrong but that may be the reason for your stopping.

mine stops but it will not start up again

I reset the dosing pump and removed and replaced the dosing line with a new one. I re-installed the dosing pump to mobius and went through the set up during calibration the pump makes one quarter rotation then makes a noise like the motor being bound up, and that's where my I'm currently at.

I emailed ecotech and I'm waiting on a response.

I also set up my Versas to do an AWC and had the same issue you had. Sometimes, it just doesn't execute the schedule. If I wasn't watching it daily, I would have crashed my tank. All it takes is a couple of weeks of your clean SW line not working and your salinity plummets because the ATO will just replace the water.

Be careful. There's a local reefer in my area, one that's been in the hobby for over 20 years and his tank crashed due to this exact situation.
