Which dosing pumps do you like better? I will be running an apex 3 pro system but there is the mobius unterfqce coming so it shouldn’t be a factor.

Which dosing system is the most reliable?
Which is the most effecient?
Are there any system feature that make one more reliable over the other?

testimonaials?

I have been using the new Versa for about a month now for a Kalk pump. Happy with it so far.
Drawbacks: None, to little instruction. I mean if you don't want to have a set of printed information included, at least do a QR code to a online manual.
I also have a Apex system, I didn’t choose the DOS because I really only needed one pump.

I’m thinking I’m gonna need at least 5 pumps

Trace
magnesium
alkalinity
Calcium
Automatic water changes

if you want to do water changes, I believe DOS is set up to do that well. Although some people feel the pump is a bit loud when they do that. The other 4 I might just get a Jeboa or something that doesn’t have to be heavy duty. I am looking into that for myself. For the others it's a set and forget, at least for a bit until your demand rises.
How big is your tank? You can start out doing Kalk and then if the need rises then add some alk/Ca
Just a thought.

I’m still in planning phase thinking take will be 72x30x24 or 28.

my plan is to do a slow cycle won’t turn lights on for 60 days first 9 months I want to focus on building coralline algae and a healthy system.

i think the only advantage of the DOS is that you can reverse the pump flow. I suppose if you are heavy into the apex system you can do some programming stuff with it too but I think you can achieve most things with outlet control of a single versa pump

The versa is quieter, more reliable (IMO/subjectively), easier to maintain, and uses rodi tubing out of the box.

I have both and currently the Versa's are in storage.

Bluetooth only connectivity in 2022 is completely unacceptable to me, as I travel frequently and need to adjust my dosing based on alk demand changes driven by high ph when im gone. I also think the mobius app is awful compared to apex.

Additionally, I had an issue with a versa where it stopped dosing for an unknown reason and had to basically factory reset to get it operational again.

Forgot about that. BT only control is definitely a big con. I am not a fan of mobius at all but the versa dosing portion of the software has worked perfectly

I’m a big fan of the Neptune products and the synergy, it sounds like a lot of the mobius stuff is gonna integrate soon

Agree. I really like the versa dosers but with all of the controller and wifi options out there these days to not have wifi is a let down.
