Hi there, I'm going to install 2 Ecoxotic Power Pro modules into my BC14 hood for lighting and wondered what is the best combination to get? I like a more blue looking tank to make the corals really "pop" but when i told the guy at mt LFS I was thinking of going with 1 white(12k)/blue module and 1 magenta/blue module he said he thought it would be too blue and too dark as the new moduls have the 445nm blue and they are very intense/dark. My next choice would be 1 white(12k) and 1 blue(445nm). What has anyone else tried and what do you think?

I have some 12" UV strips that are Taking up space in my basement If your interested.. I ran them for accent lighting and It made some crazy colors come out of the corals. Lmk

Hmmm, we'll see Sutton. Still would like to find a person who has one of the 2 color combinations i described above and who could possibly provide me a pic of their tank so i can judge if it's the right combination for me or not.

So after speaking with the guy at my LFS again he was saying that it's the magenta LED's that are very dark and that if I wanted a blue tank he'd go with one 12k/blue module and one all blue module...does anybody else have this combo and care to share their opinions on it?

I have blue/white combo.and all blue. They look fine. Magenta is for growing plants.
