I am looking to change up my return lines in my reef. I have plenty of flow going on but I am always looking for more flow. I have a 36x26 cube tank with 2 Maxspect 250 gyres and 2 mp40s all set to 100% random. My return pump is a Fluval sp6 which is in a basement sump. My head height it approximately 7.5 feet. (Short basement with the sump on a tall stand). I’m guessing I am pushing around 1500 gph. The return comes to the tank in a 1.25 inch pvc pipe which then tee’s into two ¾ inch loc line. I am wondering what my best course of action would be to maximize my flow from the returns? Should I add eductors to the ¾ loc line? Random Flow Generators to the loc line? Should I upgrade to a tee with 2 1in pvc and then eductors or RFG’s or should I go back to my original design of 1.25 straight into the tank.

How about a single return on a Sea Swirl with an eductor? Eductors work the best with as much velocity as possible.

I like Sea swirls . I'm not as worried about the randomness .It's caotic enough that what ever flow goes in will get broken up and randomized by the gyres and mps
