Eel Recommendation?

I have a 265g mixed reef that is only 5-6 months old. My husband's wants an eel. I personally have no interest in them but if I were going to get one to make him happy, which would you recommend? Other inhabitants include yellow tang, kole tang, Foxface, rabbitfish, chromis, sailfin, and a watchman goby.

I'd go with a snowflake. Plenty of personality and usually leave everyone else alone

A golden dwarf eel would be my choice as they stay small

I'd go with snowflake or zebra, depending on what size you want. Snowflakes get a couple feet long, zebras up to 5'. Neither will go after any fish. I have a zebra in my 300.

Yeah, if you are just trying to make the husband happy, get a snowflake, Readily available, easy to care for, generally a good citizen; and people that have them, do love them. Just make sure sure you button down the hatches, they are tremendous escape artist, I mean use gorilla tape if you have to, and cover all overflows.

This exactly. I had one in an observation tank with a full plastic lid that I taped down, taped the holes where cords come in etc. And it still found its way to the floor where I found it dried out. I still can't tell you were it escaped from either.
