Are there any eels that would be fine I’m a 50 gallon tank with a pair of clownfish? Also, some eel like fish suggestions, I know of the dwarf moray but they are quite expensive and don’t have the money, and I DO know of the engineer goby, though I’m not a fan, I am new

About the only eel I could see for that size tank is a Snowflake Eel.

I will caution that if money is tight, it might be wise to wait on an eel purchase. Feeding an eel properly is more expensive than for many other fish. I would wait until you have a nice little nest egg saved up to deal with any issues prior to purchasing one.

I was thinking pipefish, but that may require a one species only tank.

The Golden Dwarf is your best bet.... Save up for him. TSM Corals has them..... NO other eel would fit your tank... Maybe score a good price from one.....

I agree with a Snowflake eel. They are expensive to feed. I would suggest a good local fresh fish market for food.

Snowflakes can get big enough to eat clowns. They might be fine, but I know @Lionfish Lair had a snowflake that decided to kill everything else in the tank after being a model citizen for 10 years. The wolf eel can be super aggressive. I am with the guys telling you to save up and get a golden dwarf.

If you get a GDM, stay away from small gobies, blennies, firefish... ect. IMO, those are perfect size for the moray to eat while the fish are sleeping. Anything larger should be perfectly fine. I have mine with a pair of occy clowns and some fairy wrasse and he's being a good boy.
