Used to be that eel would come out to eat and then sleep in its hole for 2 weeks. Now it’s out like half the time even when recently fed. Certainly far more active than any moray eel I’ve known. Just wish it was prettier

My experience with eels, once they know nothing will pick at them. They only return to den for actual sleep.

But, i never kept the huge species that weight over 1 lb....

Update: The two wrasse got along yesterday but not today. The smaller one is a bit beat up and underweight and is now in my peaceful tank. Probably not its permanent home but a good place for it to recover before I find another home for it.
