I have been keeping a secret and that is that this angel is recovering from HLLE. I didn't notice it until I took the closeups but seeing as it is healthy as can be otherwise I am not concerned. Even if the scar is permanent it doesn't bother me. It just adds character and I'm happy it has a new better home.

Glad it was nothing serious. He is looking so good his colors are coming in nicely. Have you thought of a name for him?

Not yet..... I've thought about going full greek mythology and despite having a Midas Blenny I think this is clearly the midas of my fish. So maybe that.

I love the complex veins in the rear of the dorsal fin of yours. Great having a fish that is stunning in every life stage.

I’m jealous of the butterfly and regal!

Either way it’s a great fish. Really fun personality too. Inquisitive but shy. I think it’s also helping the foxface become a bit less cowardly but there’s a long way to go there.

Divers Den has a banded snake eel listed for $300 and white ghost eel (my favorite) for $150. I was tempted to get the ghost, but I think that my butterflies would nip it to death.

Those prices are crazy. My banded was $100 and that same LFS sells ghosts for $65. Unfortunately you are probably right about the ghost. They are too shy from what I've heard.

My snowflake before they fell ill and passed would put on what felt like an inch every few weeks or more! It was bananas. Love em

I’m in NC but it’s spreading like kudzu. Not as fast as the other tank but still very fast. Just look at my most recent video.

Here’s a question though. What coral would complement it? I’m thinking of putting something in the central spire and letting it also go wild. No stony corals.

I don’t know actually……let me think about that one. I think a color that would go well would be the color red or a deep pink.
