Effectiveness of dosing limewater into the overflow

Hi, I'm wondering if dosing limewater directly into the over flow vs a high flow area of the sump has any variencies in weakened saturation caused by the high air/water interface inside the overflow. Any experience in this is appreciated

The only noticeable problem I could foresee is perhaps an interference with the operation of any manual valves for a syphon, directly downstream. This maybe a non event though. I use kalk in a high flow area of the sump, no precipitation, no fouling of pumps etc. I’m guessing a slight theoretical CO2 interaction is possible, but noticeable, I doubt it.

I did wonder the same thing about the valve, I've had a look down the overflow i cannot see any precipitation forming where dosing line hits the side of the overflow pipe and im guessing that's where most of the interactions will happen.
