effects if elevated calcium (500ppm)

so my calcium tested at 540 (overdose) and i plan on running it at 500ppm along either 9 dkh alkalinity, is this a healthy calcium level and does 500 have any differences from running it at 450?

Nothing wrong with running it over 500, most do run higher elevated calcium. I actually run my DKH at 9 with CAL at 475.

got it, what’s your magnesium level?, or what range do you believe magnesium would be ok for mixed reef at

I keep my Mag right around 1350. Depending on how much DKH and CAL you up taking most water changes can handle your MAG. Just depending on your salt mix.
