Hello:

I am in the process of setting up a 75 gallon (4 ft) softie and LPS tank. I am thinking of purchasing two eFlux wave pumps. Either two 6005 - 1050 GPH or 6006 - 2100 GPH. Does anyone have experience with both these wave pumps? I will run both on the wave or surge mode. I think that the larger 6006 may be better because I can reduce the power, but I just wanted to see if someone has experience with both these two wave pumps that can offer some advice.

Thanks!

I think they get a bad rap for reliability issues. I had 2 of the 2100gph on my tank and they worked good. Didn’t move a ton of water but they worked well for me. I did a big upgrade on my tank to an 8’ 240 so they were too small for me at that point. The controllability is nice and they have a small foot print.

Robo15,

Thanks for the feedback. It sounds like the 2010 will not be too much. I think I will try two of them. I have read the reviews on Amazon so I agree lots of people have issues with them. I do own the Current lights and main pump running the loop system. I am impressed with the loop system and I think I want to try the wave pumps, but I may regret it if they break. I will find out.

I had the lights and return pump as well and having them all integrated on the loop is very nice! You’ll like that part for sure
