Found 80-100 on my glass this morning, couple hundred in the water column

1x0.5mm oval, white eggs. Tank inhabitants are CUC- nassarius, dwarf and Florida cerithes and Nerites, purple shirt spine urchins, hermit crabs.

Skunk cleaner shrimp, a magnificent foxface and a pair of onyx Picasso clowns.

I’ve seen 3 different types of ‘ribbons’ of eggs which I assume were the snails. Shrimp normally keep them attached under abdomen. Seem too small to be fish, plus they aren’t localized to one spot.

That leaves the urchins, or hermits.

Any ideas?

Those don’t appear to be eggs, although it is hard to tell from so far away. I’d guess a hydroid of some form based on what appears to be movements

Do hydroids present without any visible appendages? Never seen them just as ovals.

The movement is purely from the flow from the return. They have no independent movement, which is why I was thinking eggs

By movement, I just meant they aren’t a solid mass.

Can you get a closer picture?

I think they are snail larva.

The lights have been on 4 hours and I have zero on the glass. I took a real close look a d there are a number of them way down at the sand. Then I noticed a string of partially buried snail eggs, and a bunch of these guys inside the cases and dozens more moving over the glass right around it.

I’ll keep track and report back

Thanks

I think I have these on my glass too. Are they crusted onto the glass? Mine are difficult to scrub off the glass and seem crusted on.

Edit: I don’t have an urchin, just snails, a cleaner shrimp, and a sea serpent star fish.
