Hi all,
I just noticed a faint egg smell coming from the RODI water container (35 gallon tank). It disipates rapidly. The tank plumbs to the saltwater mixing tank and also has a PMUP that refills RODI water to the DT. Any idea what could be causing this and how to address it?

Thanks.

I'm assuming you're on a well, and there is bacteria in it that produce the hydrogen sulfide gas
(rotten egg smell) in your water.

There are a few ways to address it, chlorine most popular, but you might want to start talking to some local water treatment specialists to get options. They might be able to test your water for sulfur and go from there.

Even our city water has a sulfur smell (and taste).

System has been setup for less than 3 months using new equipment. Water storage tanks were also new. I am on city water. Using BRS RODI 5 stage with an added RODI membrane.
The smell is very faint and I perceive it when I fill a gallon jug with RODI water through a vinyl hose. The smell is gone very fast.
