Eggcrate frag racks

Those are super clean - I’m tempted to redo some of mine that way, but will probably stay to a height of 1.5” to 2” (which works in my setup).
Thanks & I'm putting the finishing touches on a permanent coral-only quarantine/frag tank. I'm using a spare 20G high tank i had already & wanted the longer legs because the tank is 16" tall. Here's what it looks like currently with an IM ReefRack 102 as the main rack in the center. I should do a short build thread on it someday.

Just finished making up some racks. Used your advice using zip ties and superglue.

This was what I made before.

Pretty fun night.

I realize this is an older thread but this seems like the appropriate place to post. This is what I ended up doing for my egg crate frag rack. I cut short sections of 0.5” diameter acrylic rods then cut a cross on one end that fits snug into the egg crate. I was planning on gluing the risers but they seem to snap right into place so I might skip the glue. These seem sturdy enough for the height I’m using but I’m not sure what the max height would be for someone who wanted a frag rack raised up higher.

@stoney7713 printed me an awesome eggcrate solution. Tops fit eggcrate, bottoms fit into each other or 1/2” pvc; base fits a 2” frag disc for weight and stability. So you can increase the height down the road stacking the pieces… or remove the rack from the top and place the whole rack in a “dipping container” then back to its orig spot….
