Eggcrate/ Lighting Diffuser Shelf?

Has anyone made an eggcrate shelf to store their supplies? I'm thinking of making one since everything is a mess in my house.

I dont think that it would be very sturdy. Those diffuser panels are okay for small items like frag plugs but any real weight would likely collapse it.
