I found these on a few of my more porous frag discs. Now I found a few more on the back glass.
I'm not sure what they are, and haven't looked around too much yet since I am in the middle of tiling. So I figured I would post some pics to save me some time tonight -
I sure hope their innocuous! I HATE bad surprises....

Do you have any Nerite snails in there? Looks like their eggs.

Yeah - I just added a TON.
That would be cool if they were. I just killed about 1/2 of the ones I could see though :(

yeah they are nerite eggs, if you use a loupe you can actually see the hundreds of individual eggs inside each pod. They suck because it covers your rock, but it is lots and lots of free coral food.

Yeah it isn't too bad though. And I like it since it means the tank must be in balance!
Thank god it wasn't some flatworms or something.
Time to go party - well I don't drink - so I guess I'll go finish tiling the kitchen.

THANKS!

I would love to have 100 of these in my sump, constantly egging and sending off little baby snails to be nom-nomed by all my pretty corals

I just hate the half formed snails that end up over everything. They never seem to complete their shell form.

I hate nerite snails; They lay eggs every couple of days :(

I didn't know that! hmmm

Good idea - maybe I'll just move the larger ones into the sump and let them have at it.

I got em' on bogo from Reefcleaners. I'll just hit him up again in a few months for my fav's - nassarius

Guess I am back to Nassarius then......

I like the tonga nassarius compared to the vibex chad. They seem to do alot better job arreating the sand in my opinion they are hard to find though now and are rising in price like 3-4 for a single one.

Thanks Will for the info - yeah that is all I buy usually. I just picked all the bogo ones from Reefcleaners to get a little assortment. So much for that idea.
I'll stick to the nassarius.
$3-4? Bluezoo and premium has them for $2. I guess LFS's would be $3-4 though.

I have those all over my frag tank Chad, they are harmless. When I first saw them I dipped the frag in Revive and Lugols and they didn't move, I figured they were harmless after that.

Yea shipping inverts though brings it to about the same. I have been looking at EA for some time for them they usually do like 6 for 18/20 which isn;t bad. I had a bunch till the hermits wanted their shells. Last time I ever get hermits. I hope the egss at least feed the coral I dont want half formed snails I have to siphon out every few days.
