Eggs on a snail

so I have this astrea snail that had a hitch hiker on it. I pulled it off and this was the snail:

I don't know what that is but after I pried it off...it left like an egg sack on the astrea snail shell:

Any idea what this is? Can I toss the astrea (and eggs) in the tank?
 
Ive seen these snails hitch hike on other snails quite often. Mostly Mexican turbos, and astraea snails. They seem to be harmless from what I've experienced.
 
I did find out, I think from lionfishlairs website. I tossed them in. I felt bad that I pried the guy off lol
He didnt survive (hermit ate him) but the eggs did.
