Eggs On My Coral?!?

They sure look like eggs, but I can't believe they are. What are these?

Bubble algae. The brain coral the algae is in appears to be along with all of the coral around it besides the hammer coral to the bottom right.

....and I'm petty sure that "coral" is just a dead coral skeleton?

yes to dead coral skeleton. makes a good shelf to land other live corals. thanks for the heads up - i've removed this skeleton and have removed the bubble algae and am letting it dry out. assuming i can replace it into the tank once thoroughly dried?
