Eggs or Poop

Anyone know if this is eggs or just poop trail ...I find them on rocks, shells, in the sand ...

any idea of how long they take to become snails? ....are they fast or slow incubation

Never really paid attention most of the time something eats them or they get removed when cleaning glass.
