I have 4 clownfish in my tank. Today I discovered these.... are they eggs or what?

I would remove the rock and try to pull them off, popping them in the tank would release spores and before you know it..it's everywhere ( kinda like the movie "gremlins" ) or you can get some emerald crabs, they're known to eat bubble algae

good luck

FYI --- these are eggs,

They start off orange, and become silver when they are closer to hatching.

+ The emerald crabs are cool. I got 2 as hitchhikers on my live rock. Love em, and they munch algae.

I would turn off all of your pumps and all water movement, and take about 10-20mLs of hydrogen peroxide and spray the crap out it. In a couple of days, you'll see that the bubbles have turned clear. Then take the rock out and clean it off. Do that whenever you see them so they do not get out of hand.

If you decide on an emerald crab, there are generally two types - one with big claws and one with little claws, go for the little claws, they are known to eat bubble algae more readily, and get the smallest crab you can.

Dont mean to hi-Jack thread but this explains y my emerald crab hasnt touched mine. So looks like i will be getting a male soon :D and yes females are the bigger claws and males smaller claws.

definitely looks like bubble algae hope you can get rid of it fast, emerald crabs do great work : )

+1 to jedimaster ben, I have to cycle out my emerald crabs, meaning buy one, let him eat the algae that has built up. Once he gets too big he started to nip at my acro tips every so slightly and irritated the one mini colony I had (I think he was starved from eating all the algae up). I had to grab him out and about before work, took him back and exchanged him for a really smaller one again, ill repeat the same process over and over, it naturally keeps my bubble algae under control. Once its in your tank, there is no getting rid of it imo unless you take some drastic measures. The spores spread so easy!

Well I took the rocks out and scrubbed it all so hopefully that'll work for awhile. Added bonus: out of a hole in the rock came a massive bristle worm I'd been hunting for awhile! Thanks for all the assistance!!

I had one that size... but the lil ones became carnivores and ate the big one. :-)
