Noticed one of my chromis being really protective over the back corner of the tank and later in the day I noticed this later in the day
Wondering if they’re eggs or….

The location is a little atypical, but assuming they turned up within a short period of time, eggs from chromis would make sense. They could also be from something else. Mine built a nest several years ago - in the sand. If they hatch you will know:). here is some more information:

"Blue Green Chromis males will prepare a nest in the sand bed into which more than one female will lay a large number of eggs. During external fertilization, males will spray their sperm on the eggs, then tend to the nest and protect the eggs until they hatch just a few days later"
