Eggs? Sponge? One of each?

I really.enjoy all the little things in our tanks that make them teeming with life. Check out whatever this is that I found between the stalks of some candy cane today at work.

inside the tank it looks like dying orange sponge, but the other shots seem like a colonial tunicate, also not doing well. depends on texture. also seems like the other ones are a small colonial tunicate and two black sponge, or again tunicates.

The problem with a lot of stuff like this is that there is no one even studying this kind of organism. Example there is not much known on Zoa's such as the descriptions of them and the various families of Zoa's. So when you get down to animals like this one has to guess what it is.

I think it looks as much like a tunicate as anything, but I've never seen one that looks quite like that. And in my experience, tunicates are difficult to keep in a tank.
So all that said, I haven't been much help. How long has this tank been running?

That last pic...I have some of those on rock I got from the Florida keys. They have been in my tank since October 2018. They change color but dont really move and I don’t think they have grown. Not sure what they are either but they don’t seem to be hurting anything so I left it there. I thought eggs at first but nothing ever hatched and they did not dissolve or disappear. They are fleshy and spongey to the touch. I have brown/tan ones and peachy pink ones.

Texture is like rubber. The tank has been up for maybe 2 or 3 months. It's at work. I work at the LFS. This was a colony that I got sent from Tonga. It was inside and the skeleton was broken and over a week it fell apart exposing the orange goop.
