Eggs, sponges, other?

Any idea what these are on this zoa frag I just picked up from my LFS? Unless it's something disasterous, I'm not too concerned about it. I don't mind having some biodiversity in my tank.

This came from the same tank at the same LFS as most of my corals, and I've never gotten anything bad from them before, so I'm pretty trusting. I do not dip or QT corals.

I have plenty of pineapple sponges already, so I'm familiar with what they look like. Although similar, these are different and I don't normally see the pineapples clustered together like this.

They look more like eggs to me, but I wonder what kind. If they are, hopefully it's just snails.

They will most likely become fish food.
