Hello, Folks, I have a 60 Gallon Solano Cube I am setting up in my Living room . I also have a full basement. My question is I will run my sump in the basement , will the Eheim 1262 with 3/4 in hose be too much return pressure to the tank?? it will be around 9 to 11 foot high from basement sump back to tank. Specs say 635 gph at 11 ft 6 inches:neutral:

There's a lot of opinions on how much flow should go through a sump, and everyone does it different. You should have a return pump that is less than your overflow, that's for sure. Personally, I shoot for around 10x per hour. With that pump pumping 9 - 11 feet I believe you'll have 150 or less gph. So, I would say that pump would not be sufficient.

What he said. If you are pumping up 9-11', thats quite a bit of head pressure. you may want to look into external pumps with a bit more pushing power.

I run that same pump on my 60g cube. I run it around 3ft from the tank and it's perfect. At your distance I agree with the above no. Look into something in the line an iwaki external.
