Eheim 1262 plumbing

I'm setting up a new tank and will be transferring over the 1262 I have running on my old setup to the new one. The problem is that it is still hooked up to the old tank to run it until this one is ready to go so I cant look at the plumbing to figure out how to connect it up. I want to use vinyl tubing from the pump to my hard plumbed PVC return pipes. Will I need any adapters to do this? How exactly does the eheim connect? I understand it's 3/4" but that's about it.

I have an Eheim 1262 as my return pump. I used the 1" hose barb on the pump itself with 1" vinyl tubing running to a bulk head with a 1" hose barb attached. Here's a pic hth

So do you need a 3/4" male threaded to 1" barb on the pump itself?

The fitting came with my pump, not sure of the size but that sounds about right
