Eheim auto feeder pellet type

This is probably a stupid question but I am going on a trip in Nov for 1 week and rather than try to get someone in I am going to rely on my Eheim auto feeder. I have had it for months but not used it yet. Last night I set it all up to get it running for practice and realized the small pellets I use seem to overfeed. I have the door on the smallest opening and I would say a good spoonful of pellets come out.

Maybe its fine I dont know what do people use in there auto feeders?

tank is 75 gal with 7 fish a bunch of shrimp and hermits

I use tape to cover a little more than the door so i can use smaller nls pellets, or something similarly sized.

You’re on the right track. I strongly recommend that you practice with it and get it dialed in now so it doesn’t clog or dump everything on the first day your gone. Good luck!

yes I am trying to. I am only gone 5 nights so hopefully everything survives
