Eheim Canister for QT Tank?

I have a freshwater 75 gallon tank I'd like to use as a quarantine for fish and coral that would go in my 125 Gallon DT....

Can I just use the Eheim 2217 as the bio and mechanical filtration for a saltwater QT tank? It has the Eheim ceramic bio media in it. I just cycle it, keep a fish in it all the time....I should be good, right?

Why keep a fish in it all the time? That would be a crap life getting hit with meds constantly until you die.

Buy some bottled ammonia to dose to keep the bacteria happy between fish if you want to keep it going all the time.
