How do you open the pump to get the propeller out for cleaning? Ive tried to pull off the outer cover but it wont come off. Ive even tried using a flat head screwdriver to push it off but it feels like ill break it.

Once you pop the outer cover off you'll see a screw. Remove that screw and turn that piece; you can see the direction by the way the groove that keeps it on is facing. It is hard to remove you may need to use pliers or something to help twist it loose. Oh on the outer cover, you squeeze on the cover just outside the tabs that run along side.
