My auto feeder clogs up and I come home sometimes to some angry fish. Any ideas on how to make this better. I crushed up the flakes tiny but that's when I started seeing this issue.

IMO, most auto-feeders work best with pellet type food... flakes on the other hand, because of the over all surface area seem to adhere (friction wise) to themselves. What brand of feeder do you have?

Don't use crushed flakes, they tend to cake. Use standard size flakes and make sure the feeder is operating correctly. Maybe open it up and look for any food stuck near the red fan impeller.

I've got the same feeder and not liking its performance with flakes.
It's wide open and not much comes out.
Going to switch to pellet.

Breakfast is served with a mixture of roughly crushed flakes and pellets in my Eheim. I think the pellets keep it from sticking together. At least that's what I keep telling myself since it's been working fine without clogging. The fish haven't complained!
