Eheim Jager 300W Mounting

The Eheim Jager 300W says to mount vertically, but that’s impossible even in my RSR625 sump area, so guessing it’s ok to mount diagonally right?

Yes just make sure it’s fully submerged

I can't imagine a sump where it could be mounted vertically. Mine is horizontal, as are the heaters in two other tanks.

My friends put them in the overflow. I only run a heater 5-6 months out of the year in both systems and they are on the bottom of my sump with no issues.

I kept my 2x 300w Jager in the overflow section of my tank as well and worked just fine.

When I first bought a Jager I had to put it in my overflow as well because it wouldn't fit anywhere in my sump, so my only options were in the overflow or in the display (which I wasn't going to do). I have since switched to other brands of heaters and I always make sure to check how long they are, I didn't realize when I bought the Jager that they a mile long.
