Eheim Pro 4+ 350

Any thoughts or experience on the Eheim Pro 4+ 350 would be appreciated. I have the opportunity to pick a used one up pretty cheap and want to know if it is a good filter. Thanks

They’re fantastic, for freshwater. Not really recommended to use a canister filter on saltwater for the most part.

They can be used but unless they are cleaned a lot (once a month) they will trap a lot of detritus and funk in there. If it is a fish only tank it’s not so bad.

For FOWLR tanks they are fine, really not much different then a closed loop with a nu clear canister. I wouldn't use one in a reef style setup they are just too hard to keep clean and keep nutrients down.
