Hi everyone, new to the group and hobby and have some few questions ? Is Eheim Uvs are good or just trash. I have a netto 160 liter and thinking of using a Eheim ReflexUV 500. Is ıt a good model ?

Eheim generally is a good brand of hardware. For keeping the water clean of algae this model will work, but it is a bit small for killing parasites in water (Ich) as to get a proper exposure to kill these, the model 500 is rated at 200liters/hour which isn't going to do much in a 160 liter tank. It will help keep the water clear with higher flow through the UV but the 500 is too small for effective Ich treatment, ime.
Eheim 800 would be a better fit for Ich for a 160L tank, as it is rated for 600L/hour for killing water borne pests.
