Ugh. This is from the analyzer tool on the WPS website. According to this, my tanks and dehumidifier cost $106/mo to run. I figured it was much more than this, given the $275 bill I've been averaging, but I guess not. You guys see similar usage?

I've been doing some tracking of our electrical use across our whole house using a kill-a-watt. My actual numbers for all my tank stuff is $91.71/month. I think i'm going to replace my closed loop dart with a few more korelias. they use up like 11 watts continuous while the dart uses 130w. that is $.95/month vs $11.46.

Honestly im more concerned about my $300 dollar water bill. I can only blame my wife and my RO unit.

I just replaced my hammerhead closed loop with four vortech mp40s so I get twice the flow with 1/3 the electricity.

275 doesnt seem high AT ALL for electricity... in the TN valley we are supposed to have some of the nations cheapest energy, and me and my roommates were still racking up 400+ some months

I tallied my tank up with an electric calculator and figured my tank to be 8.07 a month (i only tallied the big-ticket wattages) so I cant imagine real cost is much more than $11 or so a month.

If thats the case I would be checking your room mates closets or the attic. I cant imagine that the AC would be sucking up that much juice.

It does.

I am in the $350 Summer and $600 Winter range, all Energy efficient electric.
The A/C and Heater use up the most in the house.
My reefing stuff is negligible comparitively.

Between my 3 turtle tanks and my four fish tanks, I think that it costs us about $110/mth. I have 2 dehumidifiers (only 1 runs in the summer) and that costs about $30/mth each.

I'm in the $300-$400 range too ... but we have a bigger house and I also run a 2,500 gal pond ... soon to be 6,000 gallons
