Is there any chance that these hermits would eat Zoas?
I’ve had this crab over a year and not noticed it picking corals until tonight, the lights were just going out and there was a frag plug with Zoas on that the crab was picking at, the zoas then came off the frag plug and the crab continued to “eat” it, I took it from the crab and glued it back down but I think the zoa died

i basically have the same issue, new tank (maybe not enough food). Have what I think is a blue legged crab. On a lark I bought a cheap Zoo frag, just to try a coral. The zoa's are doing fine except that the crab I think is eating them. I had the frag on the sand bed for a week and then one day I saw the crab on it. I have seen it before but there didn't seem to be any damage and I thought the crab was simply picking around the polyps. This time however when the crab took off there were polyps gone and a clean white centre to the plug. I decided to take the zoa off the plug and glue it to a rock. So far I think they've been left alone since.
